Jewelry Coverage Provided By Montage
When you protect your jewelry with the Montage Jewelry Care Plan, you get coverage for services that help keep your jewelry looking beautiful.
Repairs
With Montage, jewelry repairs can be covered and serviced through Montage service centers or other licensed professionals at no additional cost to you.
Replacements
If parts of your jewelry are damaged, the Montage Care Plan can provide coverage for replacements. This plan does not cover damage incurred by normal wear.

The Montage Jewelry Care Plan covers a number of services to keep your jewelry in great condition.
How Long Do Montage Care Plans Last?
Your Montage Care Plan will become active at the time of purchase and last through the date indicated on your original sales receipt. You have a number of multi-year coverage options to choose from, ranging from one to five years for watches and two to five years for jewelry. Additionally, you may choose a lifetime plan for jewelry, which includes center stone coverage.
What Is Covered Under Our Montage Jewelry Protection Plan?
Montage Care Plans can cover jewelry and watches purchased through Jewelry By Designs.
Jewelry
Montage includes all jewelry you can purchase from Jewelry By Designs, including:
- Engagement rings
- Necklaces
- Bracelets
- Rings
- Gemstones
- Pearls
- Earrings
- Chains
Watches
A Montage Watch Care Plan can provide coverage for mechanical failure, as well as repairs, replacements, and maintenance needed for parts including:
- Metal
- Crystal
- Leather straps or bands
- Rubber straps or bands
- Stem
- Bezel
- Crown
Montage Watch and Jewelry Repair Service
In the event your covered watch or piece of jewelry incur damage and require repair, the Montage Care Plan can ensure repair costs are covered. The types of covered repairs vary for watches and jewelry. Some examples of repair services covered by Montage include the following.
Watch Repairs
Watch repairs covered by Montage do not include damages that result from regular wear, such as minor scratches to watch surfaces. However, Montage will provide coverage for repairs relating to:
- Broken clasps
- Broken links
- Mechanical failure
- Deep damage to metal watch straps, bands, or bracelets
Jewelry Repairs
Under the Montage Jewelry Care Plan, a number of different repairs are covered to ensure your pieces remain in top condition for years to come.
Bracelet and Necklace Repair
If your bracelet or necklace chain gets knotted or kinked, a Montage service center or care provider can execute professional repairs to ensure your piece remains intact, sturdy, and beautiful.
Pearl necklaces that become stretched or broken can be repaired through Montage; this care plan covers these repairs and pearl restringing, as well.
Ring Repair
Cracked or thinning ring shank repairs are covered under the Montage Jewelry Care Plan.
Earring Repair
From broken earring posts to loose earring backs, Montage will cover the costs of your earring repairs.
Other Jewelry Repair Service
Additional repair services are also covered by Montage to ensure your jewelry is protected. Montage can cover soldering repairs, but this care plan will not provide coverage for solders at the time of purchase. Repairs for broken, bent, or worn prongs and mountings are also covered under Montage.
Jewelry Replacements Through Montage
If the stones in your jewelry are damaged beyond repair, the Montage Care Plan can finance stone replacements, provided the cause of damage is covered. This plan will not cover replacements for stones that acquire minor surface scratches from normal wear.
For stone replacements, Montage will cover the cost of replacement and resetting for stones up to ½ carat or $250 retail value for 30 days after your purchase. Opals, emeralds, and tanzanite are not eligible for replacement coverage.
If you want coverage for center stone repair and replacement, you can choose the lifetime Montage Care Plan option. Otherwise, center stone services are not included.
Watch Replacements Through Montage
Watches purchased with the Montage Care Plan will receive coverage for replacement parts and services resulting from specified incidents or circumstances, such as accidental damage, watch bands replacement, and watch battery replacement.
Accidental Damage
Watch parts that are accidentally damaged and require replacement are covered under the Montage Care Plan. These parts include:
- Crystal
- Stem
- Crown
- Case
- Bezel
As long as you report water damage incurred by a water resistant watch within 30 days of noticing the issue, Montage will cover the cost of replacement, as well.
Watch Bands Replacement
Montage will cover one strap replacement each year while your watch is covered. Watch strap or band replacement is often needed when they have deep scratches, gouges, or rips; scratches resulting from everyday wear are not covered.
Additionally, Montage will also provide one-time coverage for case, bracelet, or clasp refurbishment.
Watch Battery Replacement
The Montage Watch Care Plan will cover battery replacement once a year while your watch is covered. Batteries must be provided and serviced by the selling retailer. The replacement of watch batteries is primarily covered in the event of battery failure or depletion.
Montage Jewelry Care Plan Services
In addition to jewelry repair and replacement coverage, Montage also offers numerous service coverages to ensure your jewelry fits well and looks great.
White Gold Services
Through Montage, cosmetic rhodium plating of white gold will be covered up to one (1) time every two (2) years to keep your jewelry in good condition.
Stone Services
You can receive coverage for tightening and resetting stones through Montage. Please note that center stone coverage is only included when you choose a lifetime plan.
Ring Services
Ring sizing and ring resizing services can be covered by your Montage Jewelry care Plan. However, ring sizing at the time of purchase is not included. Additionally, your care plan will not cover ring sizing involving eternity bands or invisible settings.
