This is a question we hear a lot when people learn about the Montage Jewelry Care Plan. While homeowners’ insurance provides coverage for loss, theft, fire, or mysterious disappearance, the Care Plan provides exceptional, tailored protection designed just for jewelry and watches.
The general purpose of the Montage Care Plan is to provide repair or replacement in the event of accidental damage, mechanical breakdown, or wear-related issues arising from normal wear. This means you can enjoy wearing your jewelry instead of keeping it hidden away in a box.

JEWELRY CARE PLAN COVERAGE
Repair or Replacement Coverage Due to Normal Wear and Tear
and/or Accidental Damage:
• One-time replacement per stone(s)
• Repair or one-time replacement of each cracked or chipped stone(s)
• Center Stone coverage included in the Lifetime plan only
Repair Coverage:
• Soldering, as required
• Broken, bent or worn prongs or mountings
• Broken bracelets or chains
• Knots or kinks in bracelets and chains
• Broken earring posts or backs
• Pearl restringing
• Cracked or thinning ring shanks
Service Coverage:
• Tightening or resetting of stones
• Ring sizing – two (2) instances per term (does not cover initial ring sizing at the time of purchase, eternity bands, or invisible settings.)
• Metal plating – one (1) instance each two (2) years of contract term
WATCH CARE PLAN COVERAGE
Repair or Replacement Coverage Due to Accidental Damage Occurring During Normal Wear:
• Broken stem/crown
• Damage to case or bezel
• Scratched or broken crystal
• Deep scratches or gouges to metal watch strap, band or bracelet
• Water damage to water resistant watches
Repair Coverage:
• Mechanical failure as an extension of the manufacturer warranty
• Broken clasp or links in metal watch bands
How Much Does the Montage Jewelry Care Plan Cost?
The cost of the Montage Jewelry Care plan varies depending on the price of the item purchased. Once you’ve purchased the Care Plan, there are no hidden fees or deductibles. Shipping charges for repairs are also included with the plan.

What is the Length of Coverage?
Montage Care Plans are available in several multi-year options. You may choose from three-year, five-year, or lifetime plans for jewelry, and three-year or five-year plans for watches. The lifetime jewelry plan is the only plan with center stone coverage.
After choosing a Montage Care Plan, you can reference your original sales receipt to identify the length of your coverage and the end date of your service term.
What If My Item Can't Be Repaired?
If a valid claim exists and the covered item cannot be repaired, it may be replaced, or you may be reimbursed for the purchase price of the covered item less any claims paid under the plan. Please refer to your Montage Jewelry Care Protection Plan for specific coverage and all Terms & Conditions.
